Episode 12: Ethnic Textile Jacket
A piece from the past. Using textiles I had gathered in my world travels, I pieced and embellished this jacket. Adding embroidery stitches, buttons stitched in traditional patterns, and shisha mirrors completed the look. The denim dress is of my own design. Denim mask is by @lance.v.moore. The pattern is from a company that is no longer in business, “Fashion Blueprint”. This pattern is the “Korean Coat & Jacket”. The book that inspired me was “The Shining Cloth: Dress and Adornment that Glitter” by Victoria Z Rivers. It is available on Amazon.
