Linen Summer Dress

With several yards of linen fabric, a summer dress is sewn. The pattern is Vogue 1312. My wonderful Sit and Sew sessions with @kennethdking helped me make the necessary fitting changes to the bodice and sleeves. The fabric is from www.emmaonesock.com. There are actually two different linen fabrics used. The bodice and sleeve print is kind of double printed. The lower/skirt portion of the dress is more spacious in print. The linen wire wrap turban is from @thehatshopnyc. Really fun and can be twisted in many different shapes.

For all you sewists out there, this pattern is brilliant and a lovely canvas for a host of different techniques. Surface design, piecing, embroidery, just to name a few. The bottom portion could be turned into a skirt. Or switch the top bodice for another favorite style. There is also a sleeveless version on the pattern.
